Fic, Stargate Atlantis, "Morality"

Title: Morality
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Challenge: #180 on my prompt table - "There is no moral precept that does not have something inconvenient about it." - Denis Diderot.
Characters/Pairing: John Sheppard, Rodney McKay, Teyla Emmagen
Warnings: un-betaed

“Why didn't you shoot him, Sheppard?”

“He was defenceless! He'd lost his weapon.” Sheppard grimaced. Letting the wraith go left a bad taste in his mouth, but killing an unarmed combatant was little better then killing a civilian.

“Great, then when that Wraith is re-armed and sucking the life out of me, I'll be sure to remind you of your morals, Major!”

“Rodney...”

The scientist stalked off huffily as Teyla came up.

“Do not feel that you have let him down, John. To stoop to their level will make you no better than they are.”
